During the winter months, there are two additional session options. In addition to our regular package listings, you may choose from a home session or sign-up to be added to the Winter Mini list. Winter Minis take place when it is snowing or when snow is on the ground. These are super fun unique sessions. Home sessions take place in the comfort of you own home and are generally more journalistic and style.
Portrait sessions are great for families, children and seniors. I want to help build the session that is perfect for you. Sessions are planned around your schedule and at the location of your choice.

How do I book and plan for my session?
Once you have decided that Sarah Burns Photography is the right fit for you, we will start planning for your session. We will lock in a date and location and start to discuss outfits. Have questions? Do not stress; I am here to help make this a fun and enjoyable process and to create special and unique images for your family. A $50 retainer fee is required to hold your session date.
When will see our photos?
You will receive a personal online gallery within 1-2 weeks from your portrait session date. Wedding and event galleries are delivered within 6-8 weeks.
What is included in our portrait session?
All portrait sessions include the session and editing time, an ordering credit, all consultations, a planning guide, my experience, knowledge and talent.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! I am happy to work with you to schedule a plan that works within your budget. A $50 retainer is required to hold your session date, but any balance remaining for your session package does not need to be paid in full until the day of your scheduled session.
How do you photograph weddings?
I love being by your side to help you before your wedding day. All my wedding packages include an engagement session so I can get to know you better as a couple before your big day. This helps me to know your personality and style, and enables me to capture your special day in a way that is unique to you as a couple.
We will have a couple consultations prior to your special event. This allows the day to flow smoothly, your special moments to be captured and for you to stay carefree in the photo department so you may enjoy your day.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am located in New Market, MD and generally work in the Frederick, Baltimore, DC areas, but, no worries, I love to travel and can send you a custom quote based on the location and work needed.
How long have you been a photographer?
I come with over 14 years of experience. I went to school for Commercial Photography and have been offering professional photography services ever since.
