How do I book and plan for my session?
Once you have decided that Sarah Burns Photography is the right fit for you, we will start planning for your session. We will lock in a date and location and start to discuss outfits. Have questions? Do not stress; I am here to help make this a fun and enjoyable process and to create special and unique images for your family. A retainer fee is required to hold your session date.
Do you offer free consultations?
Absolutely! Consultations are encouraged. I want to make sure we are a great match, answer all your questions, and help bring your vision to life.
When will see our photos?
You will receive a personal online gallery within 1-2 weeks from your portrait session date. Wedding and event galleries are delivered within 4-6 weeks.
What is included in our portrait session?
All portrait sessions include the session and editing time, an ordering credit or a specified amount of images, all consultations, a planning guide, my experience, knowledge, talent and equipment. Every session type has three options to allow for different needs and budgets to be met. If after your session, you wish to receive more that is always an option. Add-ons are available as well.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! I am happy to work with you to schedule a plan that works within your budget. A retainer is required to hold your session date, but any balance remaining for your session package does not need to be paid in full until the day of your scheduled session.
How do you photograph weddings?
I love being by your side to help you before your wedding day. All my wedding packages include an engagement session so I can get to know you better as a couple before your big day. This helps me to know your personality and style, and enables me to capture your special day in a way that is unique to you as a couple.
We will have a couple consultations prior to your special event. This allows the day to flow smoothly, your special moments to be captured and for you to stay carefree in the photo department so you may enjoy your day.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am located in New Market, MD and generally work in the Frederick, Baltimore, DC areas, but, no worries, I love to travel and can send you a custom quote based on the location and work needed.
How long have you been a photographer?
I come with over 18 years of experience. I went to school for Commercial Photography and have been offering professional photography services ever since.
Do you offer photography classes?
I offer homeschool photography classes in the late winter through the early spring for homeschooled students in grades 6-12. This is an 8 week group class. Furthermore, I offer custom photography classes for individuals of any age throughout the year. Please reach out for more information on class offerings.
